Dragon*Con 2000

Richard Biggs is inspired by Don Knotts. He saw him at the gym once and ran up to him screaming with excitement. "I almost gave the man a heart attack." He didn't have his trading cards that he wanted autographed with him at the time. The next time he saw Don Knotts and had his trading cards with him was in the steam room, and yes, he did go up to that naked man and ask for an autograph.

Stephen Austin watched Star Trek and Lost in Space as a child and loves science fiction because it is optimistic and hopeful. He attended science fiction conventions as a fan when he was 17 years old. "2001 is still probably a movie that I'm just in awe of because it's still something that generates discussion today."

Stephen had to develop new acting skills to work without his face and often without his hands, but the pak'ma'ra Ambassador was fun to play. "My defining moment I think came when I got to spew on Franklin."

Stephen Austin will be singing and dancing in a musical theatre version of The Goodbye Girl from July 14 through August 28 in Los Angeles. "It's going to set musical theatre back thirty years", he jokes.

Bob Krimmer was also a science fiction fan as a child. "I guess my favorite show growing up was Outer Limits. I always used to go try to adjust the TV. My parents worried about that."

Bob says that he played the Emperor Cartagia more arch during his audition. However, when his first scene was filmed he had a field day, sticking his finger in people's mouths and basically doing whatever he wanted. Joe Straczynski was surprised at the change, but he accepted Bob's plan to start out more fun and slowly descend into madness and seriousness over the course of Cartagia's arc. Joe did ask him to play the character a little less fay, to which Bob responded, "Well, Joe, he's bisexual, don't you know." This was a surprise to Joe, but Bob responded, "Absolutely. He's the emperor. He can f--- anyone he wants."

His favorite scene on Babylon 5 was ordering G'Kar's eye plucked out. His hardest scene was counting from one two forty and announcing the "electrowhip" with a straight face.

Along with his work on One Life to Live, Bob is doing a lot of live theatre. He will be filming a vampire movie called Blood Warrior.
